Valentine's Day celebrations
Life at ESPNcricinfo began when I got an internship opportunity for my semester project, which later got converted to a full time position as a software developer. I got compelled to apply here, as I couldn't imagine a better place to be or ever be bored of sports, unlike the work in other IT sectors.
Being a geek, I was always fascinated by new technologies and large scale public facing web applications. Getting an opportunity to do that, way before I was out of college, at a place with work flexibility, scope for growth, to be trusted with responsibilities, to be able to work on nothing else but Cricket, F1 and other sports, in a company such as ESPN, it is an enthralling experience.
At the end of the day, the satisfaction of seeing what I developed being served to millions of sports fans and to be the subject of a little bit of envy among friends is priceless.
