Cricket Australia has appointed former Victorian batsman Graeme Vimpani as Corporate Communications Manager.
Vimpani, who represented Victoria in 30 first-class matches and 19 one-day games between 1995-96 and 2000-01, is a public relations graduate from RMIT University who has a background in PR consultancy and corporate communication.
He joins Cricket Australia from Esso Australia Limited public affairs and will take up his new position in mid-November.
He will be responsible for a wide range of corporate communications responsibilities, including corporate issues management, corporate and brand media issues, publications and internet and special events communication.
Australian international team media issues continue to be managed by Cricket Australia Media Manager Jonathan Rose, with both reporting to General Manager, Public Affairs, Peter Young.
