Alan Watt, the allrounder who played for Kent between 1929 and 1939, died in hospital on February 3, at the age of 66, after a long illness. With fast-medium bowling he took 609 wickets, he was a fine midoff, and an aggressive batsman who scored 4079 runs and whose highest innings-96 against M CC at Lord's in 1932-was made in 65 minutes.
