Peter Delisle was a middle-order batsman who won Blues in 1955 and 1956 - although he was in the Oxford side for much of 1954 as well - and played regularly for Middlesex in the holidays. In 1955 he passed 1000 runs for the only time - 1185 at 22.78 including two of his three career hundreds. His third was his highest - 130 - and was against Cambridge University the year he left, his only full season in county cricket. In his two Varsity match outings he had managed 24 runs in four innings. He retired at the end of 1957 any joined the services.
