Canada v Leeward Islands - Match abandoned

Persistent rain in Port-of-Spain washed out the inconsequential match without a ball being bowled. Both Canada and Leeward Islands, winless in the tournament, bagged a point each when the umpires called it off an hour and a half after the scheduled start. The tournament moved from Barbados to Trinidad but the weather in the country, over the last couple of days at least, hasn't been very encouraging. Dark clouds enveloped the ground in the afternoon and it cast doubts as to whether the second game of the day, between Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago, would take place.
