South Africa win by 9 wickets and It's the first time that India have suffered a clean sweep in a bilateral ODI series since 1997, when Sri Lanka beat them 3-0, with one match being washed out. South Africa outplayed India in each and every department of the game. The drubbing was ruthlessly consistent and India were never in the picture after they were bundled out for 91 in the first match.

To be fair the Indian bowlers did a good job throughout the series barring this final encounter and if there is any positive to be taken forward into the test series that would be it. For the record this is India's 6th defeats in a row, the last time they had such a losing sequence was in 1988-89, when they lost seven in a row.

Pollock bags both the Man-of-the-match and the Man-of-the-series awards for his outstanding performance throughout the series. What a player - is he getting older or younger?

Hope you have enjoyed the coverage, I know it's a cruel statement to make, especially if you are an Indian supporter...The first Test starts on the 15th of this month and we will be on live well before the first ball is bowled. For the time being though this is Sajan Nair along with George Binoy signing off - good night and good luck.

South Africa are on the verge of whitewashing India 4-0 in the one-day series. Today's win at Centurion will be as comprehensive as any of the other thrashings. They outplayed India with the bat, ball and in the field. Such was the South African domination that the Indian body language in the field was a let down. South Africa hold a tremendous psychological advantage going into the Test series. Send us your thoughts on the performances of both teams in the series.

Harbhajan to Smith, OUT

Breakthrough! tossed up on the middle and leg stump line, Smith comes down the track and lofts it away towards long-on - Karthik in the deep times his jump to perfection and takes a smart catch. A fine partnership comes to an end.
