That's all from our side for tonight. See you soon.

Dhawan picks up the trophy and poses for the camera. Then he joins his team-mates and hand over the trophy to Sakariya, Chahar and Gowtham. All smiles.

Shikhar Dhawan: Things didn't go our way after rain break. We had a good start but lost too many wickets in the middle. Think we were 50 runs short. I am glad that they made their debut because everyone has been in the quarantine for a long time. So we had that opportunity today having sealed the series. I always analyse where I can improve and get better. We were positive about defending the target but at the same time we knew we were 50 runs short. I am happy of the way the boys fought.

Suryakumar Yadav is the Player of the Series. "I think I have been doing the same thing for last two years," he says. "I wanted to score big in the last two games but... The atmosphere in the camp is really positive. Really looking forwards to the T20I series."

Dasun Shanaka: Congratulation to India for the series win. It was a very good series throughout. Young guys showed a lot of maturity, both with bat and ball and that's what I expect from them. It's a big win for fans, they were waiting for years for this win; we have won against India at home after quite some time.

Avishka Fernando is the Player of the Match. "If we had done well in the second match, we would have won the series," he says. "I am very happy for the Player-of-the-Match award today though. After the England tour, I worked on my batting and that has helped. We have a very young side and going forward I believe we will do well."

The presentation is coming up shortly.

11.30pm It appeared as it the chase will be a cakewalk for Sri Lanka, but the Indians kept coming back at them. Rahul Chahar was particularly impressive, picking up three wickets, but India just didn't have enough runs on the board. From 147 for 3, they collapsed to 225. And that is perhaps where they lost the match.

Sri Lanka will be mighty pleased with the way their batters approached the chase upfront. Avishka Fernando nearly batted through, and his partnership with their other half-centurion Bhanuka Rajapaksa helped wipe out a good chunk of the target. With the ball, there were wickets for Akila Dananjaya and Praveen Jayawickrama, both of whom picked up three apiece.

Chahar to Mendis, 1 run

there's the win, Sri Lanka's second ODI win in 2019! And it's come off a neatly hit sweep to deep square. Three-wicket win that lifts them off the bottom of the ODI Super League points table India take the series 2-1.

Chahar to Dananjaya, 1 run

he's looked to pull, bat falls off, ball lobs just wide of the bowler and they'll get a run. Shaw had to duck for cover at leg slip

he's made room and smashed that through the covers. Rahul Chahar went full and Akila drilled that away, just wide of the cover fielder. What's worse, it's a freehit. It was a no ball because there has to be a maximum of five fielders on the leg side. India had 6.

terrific legbreak that has him pushing forward and beats the edge. Samson whips the bails off as they appeal for a stumping. Third umpire has a look. Think the back leg was on the line and the line belongs to the umpire. Quick work from Samson on what has been a tough night behind the stumps. He's in trouble here. Yup, gone. Third wicket for Rahul Chahar
