That's all we have for you from commentary. Thank you for joining us. We look forward to your company tomorrow, when the IPL throws up another double-header

Third consecutive Man of the Match award for Finch. "Started to cramp in my calf, Think it was just cramp. Feel good, feel like I'm batting nicely. Want to continue. It was nice to finally get us home over the line. Last three games I got us into a reasonably position to win the game. I try to take it upon myself to bat right through. Having batted for 20 overs and playing around the world, I can probably stay calmer than a No. 9 but Kulkarni hit that four through mid-off and took the pressure off me. With the ball too he was outstanding along with Praveen. They took us for a few runs in the end overs, but that would have always happened."

"Its good place to play cricket, specially againts Mumbai, they are tough to beat in Wankhede. Finch and Baz started well and before that the bowlers executed the plans really well," Suresh Raina says, "When they score 140, I think low scoring matches are difficult to chase. When the ball was doing something, someone needed to stay there with Finch. Nobody did, that was credit to Mumbai. Finchy stayed calm though. Kulkarni batted and bowled well too. When you have Bravo, Faulkner, Praveen, Jakati there, you always believe. Its good [Finch's hamstring injury]. It must be cramp. He just told me, heopfully it is not serious"

"We have to swallow defeat," Rohit says. "We can't afford to do that. We let ourselves down with the bat. I thought our bowlers did a pretty good job. It could have gone either way, but that's how this game is. Not where we would have liked to be. Not surprised by Wankhede. Generally it plays pretty good. As I said, we didn't bat well. Dew came in later and the ball stopped swinging. If we had got 150-160 we would have been in the game. Mitchell bowled really well to get us back. We've never doubted the crowd's support. We have to bat well. We have let ourselves down with the bat twice now. It gets hard when you lose too many wickets in the early overs"

Takes the high-fives, hugs and pads on the back from his team-mates and the support staff. Finch was relatively subdued at the start of the innings, and he could be so with only 144 to chase. He just had to stay there and he did just that, despite a little trouble with his hamstring. Mumbai roared back in the final few overs, especially via Mitchell McClenaghan's 19th over where he took two wickets and gave away only two runs. But his 4 for 21 wasn't enough.

Dibbu: "Is it the first time that anyone has played the first ball of the first over and last ball of the last over in a match? Was rooting for MI, but great knock by Finch."

malli: "When number 9 is playing you should back of length ball as he will be wildly swinging the bat..! Bumrah missed a trick there!" ----- How things have changed. At one time, you would have said look for the blockhole against he tailender

Bumrah to Finch, FOUR runs

short ball outside off, pulled away to the deep midwicket boundary and Finch raises his bat and his helmet and salutes the crowd! That ball fit his strength, big powerful man getting the opportunity to pull with all his might. Probably not the best ball to finish up. Excellent innings from Finch, lasting the entire 20 overs and handling the pressure of the tightest game of this IPL season

One off one. Finch has a smile on his face. Practices a slide off the wide yorker. Mumbai still in discussion. Rohit, Pandya, Pollard and Bumrah deciding. Third man and point up. Short cover up as well

Bumrah to Finch, 2 runs

they've taken a second. Dhawal was running to the danger end and he makes it safely. Great work again. This was a low full toss and Finch drilled it to long-off. Pollard with the throw can't get him out

Three from two. Finch on strike, and is he good enough even with that dodgy hamstring?

1
Bumrah to Kulkarni, 1 run

low full toss on off stump, pushed to long-on for a single

Four off three now! Rohit chats with Bumrah, Kulkarni chats with Finch.

supriya : "anyone betting on a super over?"

Bumrah to Kulkarni, FOUR runs

smashed over extra cover! What a shot under pressure. He stayed stock still and reacted to the ball, a tad overpitched outside off. Top stuff!

Third man back, Short fine leg is up. Deep square leg is back. Long-off is up

19.2
1
Bumrah to Finch, 1 run

goes for the lap sweep, but he has hit it off the inside edge and the ball barely wanders past the left of short fine leg. Has the match been sealed there? Finch is off strike

2
Bumrah to Finch, 2 runs

looks for the yorker on leg stump, Finch drags it to deep midwicket and drags his injured body across for a second run as well. Great work from Rayudu the fielder there

Bumrah to bowl the final over, Lions need 11

he can't run. His hamstring's a problem. Patted a short ball to point and was just jogging through, happy to be out if Bhajji can hit it from point. He doesn't

1
McClenaghan to Kulkarni, 1 run

is that another? Kulkarni looks awkward as he tries to flick the ball. It's too quick for him and he nearly lobs a catch to the on-rushing Pollard at mid-on

Dhawal Kulkarni, who had a fine time with the ball, is in at No. 9. Tension builds all over again.

dsk: "Faulkner cant even hit length balls. Old faulkner would have finished the match well before."

McClenaghan to Praveen, OUT

make that two wickets and two dots! McClenaghan is making sure no one is missing Malinga. It's another shortish delivery angled into the tailender, Praveen was backing away and trying to slide it off the open face. Parthiv, who was moving down leg suddenly has to change direction, dives to his right and takes a stunner with both hands

Praveen Kumar c †Patel b McClenaghan 0 (2b 0x4 0x6 1m) SR: 0

McClenaghan to Praveen, no run

that's at his full pace, and its short and tailing into the right-hander too. Praveen was backing away to cut it through point. Beaten. twp dots, and a wicket. What an over!

Praveen Kumar walks out, has a little chat with Finch and would ditch it all the first fuller ball he gets. Has a reputation of being a six-hitter

W
McClenaghan to Faulkner, OUT

that's gone! The change of pace works again! The horns are out in full force at the Wankhede! I can't imagine how the umpire heard the nick, but he did. It was shortish from around the stumps, Faulkner backed away for a late cut and feathers it through

James Faulkner c †Patel b McClenaghan 7 (8b 1x4 0x6 17m) SR: 87.5
18.1
McClenaghan to Faulkner, no run

shortish and outside off, Faulkner had the chance to slash it through point. Shortish slower ball, ripe for the shot. Cannot connect

But now Finch is down on the ground, testing his left hamstring! Did getting across for that second run take too much out of him. The physio is massaging the area vigorously. Knew it immediately after crossing for the second run. Yelled, pulled off his helmet and banged it into the turf.

Bumrah to Finch, 2 runs

back of a length slower ball, patted over the bowler with the sole intention of picking up a couple. Lions have handled the end-overs pressure ever so well, because they have had Finch leading them.

length ball outside off, Faulkner lashes it to the sweeper cover

17.4

Bumrah to Faulkner, FOUR runs

wide yorker, good ploy from Bumrah. He suspected Faulkner would want to stay outside leg and made him reach. Faulkner's tall enough to do so and gets a thick edge through point and short third man

big full toss, and its a no-ball too. Rohit shakes his head in disbelief. Faulkner pushes it into the covers. But now he has a chance to do a lot more.
