out now though. Anwar Ali digs this into the pitch and angles it into Chameera's ribs. He tries to hack it away to leg, but it catches him high on the bat, takes the top edge and pops up in the air towards point. Pulina Tharanga sprints in to take an excellent diving catch, low to the ground. Viiking win by 28.

Dasun Shanaka, player of the match and Viiking captain: I should thank all the bowlers and the spinners. The youngsters were good. Pulina Tharanga and Colombage were brilliant. The pitch was a bit sticky at the start so I thought the spinners would be good. They've got a lot of right-handers in their line up so the left-arm spinners worked well against them.
Colombo Kings captain Angelo Mathews; I think they made about 20 runs too many on that wicket, which was slower than the previous ones. We lost our way in the Powerplay, but Dasun Shanaka batted well. We don't need to panic. We've got the team and we've got the firepower. We've got to get the attitude right. There's still a long way to go in this tournament. Just because we have a good team we can't walk away with a win.

It's early in the tournament, but I have to say this definitely seems like the first upset of the LPL. Kings have some seeeerious firepower in their XI, and 176 wasn't a crazy target on this pitch. Shanaka had stacked his side with spinners - particularly spinners who take the ball away from the right hander, and he marshaled them well. The wickets of Mathews and Russell, who both fell cheaply, were huge. Samit Patel, Malinda Pushpakumara, Pulina Tharanga and Anwar Ali all took a couple of wickets each.
With the bat, Shanaka had stood up once again, making 56 off 34. He had some help from Samit Patel and Angelo Perera as Viiking overcame a horror start.
Both these teams go away with two wins from three matches now.
that's a super shot. Overpitched outside off stump. Chameera gets underneath it and slams this over wide mid on, and on to the boundary
slower yorker just outside off. Chameera just digs it out
that'll help. Back of a length ball outside off stump. Chameera tries to club that over long on, but that's hit the under edge and skipped past the keeper, all the way to the fence
Vanishingly slim chance that Kings can win this, but they are at least doing their run rate a favour. Will they attempt the target? 37 from 12 needed with the last-wicket pair at the crease.
shot. Crunching drive. Overpitched outside the off stump and Vandersay lays into that, sending it scorching across the ground through extra cover
knee-high full toss outside off stump, but Vandersay hits that straight to mid off and they decide against the run
fullish outside off stump, sliced away to deep point
length ball outside off, struck straight to cover
slower ball, 101kph, full outside off stump. Dragged wide of long on who has a bit of work to do
Rajitha responds with a bouncer, but that's too short and travels over CHameera's head
Hangs back to hammer this short of a length ball over midwicket for four. Nicely struck
Rajitha's back.
Dickwella thinks this could be out. Dananjaya misses a legbreak and has dragged his foot out of the crease. Dickwella breaks the bails but on replay, Dananjaya has just managed to push his foot back across the crease
fullish on the middle stump, Chameera tries to slog sweep but gets a thick under edge and it goes towards deep midwicket
fired down the legside. Dickwella can't get across to it
pushed through flat, defended
tries it a third time and perishes. This is flatter and faster from Tharanga, Qais is down the track again and ties to launch it, but miscues it. Angelo Perera runs around from long on to get his body underneath it. Another good catch for him
another big one. Qais can hammer it. Down the track again, and although Pulina dragged it down, Qais went through with the shot and walloped it way over long on for six
down the track, gets to the pitch of this flatter delivery, and sends it like bullet down to the straight boundary. Solid hit.
Pulina Tharanga is back.
slower through the air, and tossed up on off, turning a bit. Chameera goes for the big slog sweep but misses
floated up outside off, driven to long off
