Undefeated Western Australia took firm grasp of a spot in the domestic limited-overs final with a grinding six-wicket victory over Victoria at Blacktown Oval.

The Warriors' captain Adam Voges demonstrated his skill in measuring a run chase, accelerating steadily during the course of his unbeaten 83 to ease WA clear of Queensland and New South Wales, who are now likely to finish second and third and so meet in the elimination final on Friday.

WA owed much to Nathan Coulter-Nile, who claimed 5 for 26 as the Bushrangers squandered a strong start afforded them by Marcus Stoinis and the captain Matthew Wade, who returned from a one-match suspension.

The Bushrangers' fade from 1 for 136 took place so sharply as to leave the in-form Cameron White stranded on 36, and afford the Warriors the luxury of their own stumble in the chase.

Jon Holland bowled thriftily and well on a pitch offering slow turn, and at 4 for 132 WA were in some danger of slipping up as their opponents had done. But Voges remained composed, and found a willing ally in Ashton Turner. Together they reeled in the target, aided by Holland's overs running out.
