Nazmul, Hom star in big Dhaka Division win

Dhaka Division thumped Chittagong Division by an innings and 99 runs, and put themselves firmly on top of the points table. Chittagong remain rooted to the bottom after being beaten comprehensively in Rangpur.

Batting first, Shuvagata Hom's century helped Dhaka to 379. Medium-pacer Aftab Ahmed took four wickets. Nazmul Islam then notched four scalps to help skittle Chittagong for 124 in 37.2 overs. Seamers Shahadat Hossain and Mohammad Sharif and legspinner Noor Hossain chipped in with two wickets each. Following on, Chittagong hardly put a dent on the deficit as they were bowled out for 156 in 52.2 overs. Nazmul took five wickets to take his match tally to nine, was named as the Player of the Match.
