Match abandoned without a ball bowled

1:00pm: The umpires have completed another moist walk around the ground and the covers. It is still raining at the moment, but there is hope. Radar pictures show a sizable break in the rain coming in from the south west, and if they can get the ground clear quickly, we might see some cricket. Whether we get a completion is another matter. At present, the umpires will inspect again at 2pm. A reminder that the cut-off time, i.e. the latest start time, is 4:17pm, but if the inspection at 3pm doesn't show improvement then that will kill the game.

11:30am: It is still raining. And it doesn't look much like it's going to stop. The umpires have returned a bit soggy. We're going to take an early lunch, and they will reinspect at 12:45pm. I would expect if they don't see any improvement by then, we could see an abandonment.

10:40am: I'm afraid it is, as was forecast, raining in Glasgow. The umpires will inspect again at 11am, but an abandoned match looks the most likely outcome at the moment. It's raining quite hard now.

10:30am: Good morning all, and I'm afraid there is no good news for you. The umpires have been out to have a look, and it's just started raining harder. Technically, our cut-off time is 4:17pm, but realistically I'd expect hands to be shaken earlier.
