4.02pm So that last run took six balls coming. And it has cost Pakistan a wicket. But that's just a small blemish on a wonderful day out. They were hit by the absence of their regular captain Sarfraz. But stand-in captain Shoaib Malik's experience came to the fore. He rotated his bowlers well, packed tight fields, and made the batsmen earn every run. South Africa could only manage 164 of them. Pakistan's reply was as clinical a reply as there has been from them in recent times. It was thoroughly clinical but for that one moment of madness from Imam towards the end. Deserved to remain unbeaten after that effort. Nevertheless, this series has been a defining one for him - he has eliminated awkward questions about his place with the team and his relationship with the chief selector for the immediate future at least.

This really has been a series between two evenly-matched teams, which makes the 202 scoreline perfect. It's only fitting that the final ODI will also decide the series. Stay tuned - we will bring the presentations to you shortly.

Abrar Ahmed: "Shinwari to be MoM, for changing the world with his deadly over."

sikender ebrah: "The pink proteas beautifully nipped "

Faisal : "Shoaib Malik brings to mind Manchester Uniteds Ole Gunnar.. Should be given the job full time... "

"It's bound to happen, to lose one in pink," says Faf du Plessis. "The first half was a little bit of both - they bowled well and the conditions aren't what they usually are at the Wanderers. But we never had enough runs. It sounds easy making excuses now, but definitely coming to the Wanderers we expect a pitch that is flat. But there was spin today and the ball was stopping as well. You have to adapt to conditions and it is something we didn't do that today. Pakistan are playing really well - can't take that away from them for one second. We have to find a way where we can strike with wickets and also get ourselves in a position with the bat where we can put pressure. We were very disappointed in the game. Great day for cancer awareness, very happy to do whatever it is we can as a team and give away a portion of our match fee for this cause."

Usman Shinwari is Man of the Match. "Man of the Match on a great day, thanks to god, it feels special," he says. "We made a few mistakes when we opened the bowling. After that, just realised it and made amends. Would have felt good to get a hat-trick."

"I knew only this morning, when we came to the ground, that I will be captaining," says winning captain Shoaib Malik. "It's a great honour to represent your country - as captain or player. You need a bit of luck, of course, to end up on the winning side. But having said that, as professionals, once we hit the ground, our goal is to do well. You can't control all the batsmen, so the idea is to take wickets. Shaheen is an exceptional talent and he is growing day by day. We have the taken tin Pakistan and they are grabbing their opportunities. It's going to be a great battle in Cape Town, between two good teams. I'd like to thank all the people that came out to support the teams today. It's for a great cause and I am very happy and I would like to thank everyone one behalf of the Pakistan people, the board and the cricketers."

Right then, that brings us to the end of today's coverage. Liam's report should be up in a short while, so go in there to catch up if you missed the live action. From the comms desk, it's goodbye. Thank you for your comments and company.

edged and gone. You could see this coming. There were a few dots, the field was up and the gaps were proving hard to find. Imam dances down, swings for the fences, and nicks through to the keeper.. And the Jo'burg crowd roars in delight. Some late cheer on a forgettable day for their team
