That brings an end to an interesting ODI series. Pakistan were the better side in the first two ODIs, but they imploded in the third. They still took the series though and that is a big achievement for any visiting side in India. Sid Talya's report is being updated as I type. Thanks for your feedback and comments. This is Devashish Fuloria signing off. Ciao ciao.

Josh: "Apparently MS Dhoni's 36 was good enough to get man of the match. Did the judges not see Saeed Ajmal get 5/24 off 9.4 overs? "

Presentation:

MS Dhoni: "160 wasn't enough. But I told the team that yes it is not enough, but the team should compete well. The spinners did a great job but the men of the match were the fielders in this game. Bhuvi started well, then Ishant bowled well with a not-so-new ball. Jadeja and Ashwin supported each other well too. It is important to learn from each and every game and this is young side and there is learning for everyone. Bowling line-up was a big positive this serie. Yes, there was help for bowlers, but we bowled well as a unit."

Dhoni is also the Man of the Match.

Nasir Jamshed is the Man of the Series for his back to back hundreds.

Nasir: "I started well today, but unfortunately didn't last till the end. The pitch was difficult to score in the second innings. Thanks to the crowd, it has been great all this series."

Misbah-ul-Haq: "Indians bowled very well, their fielding was outstanding. We tried to see off the new ball, but the ball was doing things even after that. It was difficult to score runs. Plenty of positives this series, specially the fast bowlers and Nasir Jamshed. It was a great series, tightly contested and today we had another tight game."

What a match this has turned out to be! India finally walk of to some smiles, the first time this year. Pakistan had things under control, but the wicket of Misbah, who was holding one end and looked solid till then, opened up the flood gates as the rest crumbled under pressure. No one saw it coming. But India was energetic in the field, the young bowlers maintained tight lines throughout and never gave away easy deliveries, and once pressure sets in, anything is possible.

R Ashwin: "Everybody bowled well, especially Bhuvneshwar. We picked up wickets in the middle. This win is a great morale booster ahead of the England series"

Akbar: "I have mention in middle of the inning that Misbah should allow U.Akmal to play his natural game and some people give response that he sould play accoring to situation and look what is comes for Pakistan."

Bilal: "Well Pakistan simply didn't want to end it on a sad note so they gifted the match to India"

Raghuram: "Absolutely Fantastic!! This is more of what we all want to see from Team India. I am not talking about the Win here, but the FIGHT taken to the opponents. Hope this continues for the days to come.. Good for India and Cricket..."

Sharma to Hafeez, OUT

caught at midwicket! Hafeez has hit this length ball straight to Yuvraj at midwicket. It wasn't a free-hit as the last ball was no-ball for height. But Pakistan have imploded big time here. Yuvraj runs around the outfield, slides on the field, he gets surrounded by his teammates.

Sharma to Hafeez, (no ball)

Drama!! It's a chest high full-toss which Hafeez manages to play to short fine leg. But there was no run, but Irfan had run all the way to the other end. The throw came to Ishant's end and he had all the time to collect and run the batsman out. But he is not next to the stumps and misses completely

length ball outside off, and Hafeez is doing all by himself. Just blasts this over extra cover with plenty of timing, it almost carried over the ropes.

fuller length delivery on the off, driven hard to mid-off where Raina misfields, but the batsmen don't take the single

12 balls, 23 runs, Hafeez on strike. Is there more drama left here?

Shami to Junaid, OUT

he is just run himself out! Although Raina's stop at cover had a fair bit to do with that. Junaid tapped it to the off side and took off immediately, Raina dived and made a half stop. Luckily for him, the ball didn't go to far. He took the ball, realised that there was complete communication breakdown between the batsmen with both on one end, aims and takes down the stumps at striker's end direct. Dhoni was there too had he missed.

Shami to Ajmal, OUT

and this time he manages to get an edge. It was a similar delivery outside off as the last one, Ajmal tried to run it down to third-man with a horizontal bat and ended up playing at the ball away from his body. The ball takes an edge and it's an easy catch for Dhoni. First wicket for Shami Ahmed in ODIs, 200th catch for Dhoni

short of length ball on off stump, defended to the off side

Saeed Ajmal is the next man. The game is slowly slipping out of Pakistan's grasp and I wonder how did it come to this. The batsmen didn't even cross, so Ajmal will have the strike

Sharma to Umar Gul, OUT

caught at long on! Umar Gul cracks under pressure. The shot was on as it was a length ball on off stump, Gul took a swing at that one but wasn't able to time it very well, the ball settles into the hands of Jadeja at long-on.

short of length, accurately on off stump, punched back to the bowler

It's run-a-ball from here. Who would have thought that it would come down to this, half an hour ago. Ishant will bowl this one. And Shami, in his first game, is likely to bowl the last if it gets that far.
