SUPER OVER - END OF OVER6 runs • 2 wickets
RR: 6/2CRR: 6.00

12.10am That's it from all of us. It's been a match full of twists and turns, and we enjoyed bringing it to you immensely. Hope you enjoyed it as well, and make sure you're back for tomorrow's double-header. Until then, good night!

Shaun Marsh is the man of the match. "It was nice to get the win, the boys really worked hard last few days in training, gets us back in the competition now. Nice to get an opportunity, unfortunate Bails got injured, I was hitting the ball well, picked out certain areas of the ground, and it worked out tonight. I've never really batted in a Super Over before, was a little different, it was nice to put a decent total on the board, and Mitchell Johnson defended it brilliantly and Louis Saha [yes, I think he confused him with the former Manchester United striker] to get that run out at the end."

Virender Sehwag: "It's a great game, the way they started I thought they would cross 200, but our bowlers did really well to restrict them, and Shaun Marsh and David Miller, and then Axar Patel and Mitchell Johnson managed to tie it for us. Again it was Mitchell Johnson who took the responsibility, said I will bowl the Super Over."

Shane Watson says he's never played a Super Over before, and the bowlers conceded too many towards the end of Kings XI's innings, but it's a good learning experience for his side.

11.55pm What a win for Kings XI. They needed close to 14 an over in the last eight overs, and they somehow managed to tie it from there, and they definitely held their nerve far better in the Super Over.

W
Johnson to Faulkner, OUT

slower ball outside off, and he's gone for a needless wander, and Saha has run him out. Faulkner went for the big slog, missed, and took a few steps down the pitch, looking for the bye. Smith wasn't interested. Saha spotted it quickly and threw at the stumps and hit them direct, and Royals' unbeaten run has come to an end.

Johnson to Smith, (no ball) FOUR runs

sees him making room, goes for the yorker again, gets it horribly wrong. High full-toss on off stump, Smith flashes hard, and egdes it to the right of the keeper and it rockets away to the boundary

Smith comes out at number three.

Johnson to Watson, OUT

bowled, off stump goes for a wander. Watson made room to carve through the off side, and Johnson simply slipped a fast yorker under his bat

Bailey has a few words for Sehwag before Kings XI take the field. It's Anureet to bowl, or is it Axar? Both are warming up. But I think it's going to be Johnson.

Yup. It is Johnson. Who will Royals send in, though? They're taking awfully long over this. It's Watson and Faulkner.

Morris to Marsh, 1 leg bye, OUT

yorker now, on middle and leg. LBW appeal from the bowler, but it isn't given. It's leg byes, ricochets to the keeper, and they steal a run, look for the second, and Samson runs to the stumps and runs out Marsh. On replay, that lbw shout looked plumb in front of middle stump.

Shaun Marsh run out (Samson) 12 (5b 3x4 0x6)
0.5
Morris to Marsh, no run

goes around the wicket now, bowls a slower ball wide outside off. Marsh reaches out to carve it through the off side, doesn't connect

0.4
4
Morris to Marsh, FOUR runs

low full-toss on off stump, and he smacks it and just stands there, no need to run. Clears his front leg and powers through the line to send it scudding away to the straight boundary, leaving long-off no chance even though it was only a few yards to his left

0.3

Morris to Marsh, FOUR runs

short ball, sits up on middle stump, and Marsh clears his front leg and wallops the pull to the square leg boundary

full-toss outside off, may have been over waist height, and Marsh stands tall and carves it away to the square cover boundary

full on off stump, Maxwell gives himself room to carve it over cover, doesn't get hold of it, bounces down in front of the sweeper.

Morris to Miller, OUT

full-toss on middle and leg, and he's lbw. Swivelled to pull and it smacked him flush on the thigh pad. Was on its way down when it struck him.

Kings XI to bat first in the Super Over. Looks like Marsh and Miller to bat. Maxwell is padded up at one-down. Who will bowl? Morris.

Arvind: "It will be March, Maxwell, Miller against Faulkner. And for RR it will be Watson, Smith and Hooda against Johnson." -- Let's see if you're right.

Aravind: "Third time this IPL where the team needed 5 to win off the last ball. Brilliant fielding denied the win on the first two occasions, however the fielding in the last over wasn't too good in this game. Point? Fielding wins you games too."

11.25pm What a finish! Superb knocks from Marsh, Miller and Saha to get them close, and Johnson and Axar ran hard, put pressure on the fielders and the keeper, and brought it down to the last ball. Not the greatest last ball from Faulkner, but Axar kept his head and produced the goods.

4
Faulkner to Axar Patel, FOUR runs

he's hit it for four and he's tied it! It's full and wide, and he slices under it and sends it to the deep point boundary, one bounce! We're going to have the Super Over.

can Axar hit this for six?

19.5
2
Faulkner to Axar Patel, 2 runs

down the track, making room, and he slices the low full-toss to the right of sweeper cover, and they take two again. Samson doesn't collect cleanly, makes it easier for Axar, who slides home.

Faulkner to Axar Patel, 2 runs

full outside off, gets his front foot across and swipes it to long-on. Smith's throw to the keeper's end is wide of the stumps, and they get the second easily

Faulkner to Johnson, 1 run

full-toss close to off stump. Johnson makes room and slaps it to deep cover

19.2
2
Faulkner to Johnson, 2 runs

full outside off, swiped to the left of long-on. They take on Smith's arm, because they want Johnson on strike, and he goes for the bowler's end, and Samson is quick to get the bails off but Johnson is just about home, at full stretch. Excellent running.

2
Faulkner to Johnson, 2 runs

full-toss outside off, swiped down to long-on, and Smith, attacking the ball and swooping down to pick-up and throw, fumbles and lets them get two

14 from the last over. I assume it'll be Faulkner to bowl it. It is.

Siva: "Last ball SIX from Binny might be the difference in both teams. Can Axar do the same for his team?"

slower ball angled across Johnson, and Rahane makes a great attempt but puts him down. Went for the big swipe down the ground, top-edged it very high, and Rahane had to run in a long way from long-on. Caught it with both hands but it popped out as he fell forward onto the ground

This is Rajasthan Royals' sort-of home ground. This is Axar Patel's proper home ground. And it's Hooda to bowl.
