Scorecard
An unbeaten 70 from Callum Ferguson extended South Australia's lead in Brisbane, where they set Queensland an unlikely 471 for victory. By stumps on the third day, the Bulls had made a steady start but had lost both openers and were still 301 short of their target, on 2 for 170, with Usman Khawaja on 26 and Nick Stevens on 24.
Joe Burns and Luke Pomersbach might have given the Redbacks a few nervous moments as they built a 118-run opening stand but that ended when Pomersbach was caught off the bowling of Chadd Sayers for 47. Burns struck six fours and one six in his 72 before he was caught off the spin of Johan Botha, but they were the only successes for the Redbacks after they declared at 6 for 202.
South Australia had resumed at 0 for 22 after declining to enforce the follow-on on the second day and although Queensland chipped away with regular wickets, Ferguson and Botha (40) made sure the target kept growing.
