Queensland kept themselves alive in the Sheffield Shield with a 250-run win over Western Australia in Brisbane, where Luke Feldman and Michael Neser helped the Bulls skittle the Warriors for 144. Chasing 395 for victory, Western Australia began the final day already in trouble at 5 for 73, and they were able to add only 71 more runs for the loss of their remaining five wickets.
Adam Voges top scored with 41 and there were contributions from Sam Whiteman (26) and the injured Mitchell Marsh (13), but it was only a matter of time before the Warriors were dismissed. Feldman finished with 4 for 26 and Neser with 3 for 44 and the win kept fourth-placed Queensland in touch with the top three sides.
