8.3 to WIA Fernando, squared up and the ball pops up off the outside edge to point! Farooqi's got his man. Has bowled so well to Avishka, and his laboured stay is ended. This was a back of a length ball, pitching on the stumps, and seaming away. Avishka gets turned around as he tries to defend, but ends up only offering the simplest of catches to Gulbadin Naib, who flexes his biceps in celebration. 36/2 | ||||||||||

3.6 to P Nissanka, has he got him? That looked VERY good, and Nissanka has played all around this lovely swinging delivery, and is struck on the front pad in front of about middle stump. Nissanka reviews this, but is struggling to overturn this, I think. In fact, Nissanka is too late on the review. The third umpire informs the on-field umpires that Nissanka missed the 15-second window. Afghanistan have the man in form. This was just full, straight and going on to take out middle and off, the ball projection says. Nissanka had planted his front leg too far towards off and ended up hitting his own leg instead of the ball.. 19/1 28.3 to BKG Mendis, taken at deep backward square leg! Mendis times a pull rather firmly, but still finds the fielder, who doesn't have to move an inch. Afghanistan have got rid of both of Sri Lanka's set batters. Omarzai bowled on a short of a length, and angled this in. The ball pitched around off, and bounced at a comfortable height for Mendis to have a full swing and go for the pull.. 147/4 49.6 to PW Hasaranga, dug in again, another slower ball I think. Gets to chest heigh and Hasaranga goes back and tries to smack it over the offside. Again it comes off the toe, goes high, and is swallowed by by Ibrahim Zadran coming in off the rope at sweeper cover.. 308/6 | ||||||||||

44.5 to J Liyanage, taken at wide long-on! In fact, the fielder was only halfway back towards the boundary, even as he seemed to be standing wider than where long-on usually is. Noor gave this length ball some loop on leg stump, as it shaped to turn away. 27.2 to S Samarawickrama, spooned to midwicket! Sadeera falls one ball after getting a life. The ball just took off from the inside half of the bat, and went to the man placed almost at the edge of the circle, with the ball dropping on to Nabi there, as he went low to grab it. Qais got this fullish ball to dip on to the leg stump - the release indicated that it was the wrong 'un - even as Sadeera looked to loft this from middle and off. But the ball went on towards leg, and ended up lobbing for a simple catch. 139/3 | ||||||||||

32.2 to Qais Ahmad, gobbled by deep backward square leg! Madushanka is smiling, almost as if to indicate that he never expected a wicket from it. He bowled on a length, angling it into the right-hander. The ball ended on Qais' pads, as he whipped it aerially right into the fielder's laps. 153/8 32.3 to Noor Ahmad, trapped first ball! Afghanistan don't have reviews remaining, so Noor has to walk back. Madushanka is on a hat-trick. He went from around the wicket, bowling a cross-seamer. It landed on middle and off, as the ball shaped back in to smack Noor on his back pad as he was beaten by pace looking to push at it. 153/9 | ||||||||||

30.5 to Azmatullah Omarzai, inside edged on to the stumps! Afghanistan's centurion from the previous game falls early today. Madushan angled this ball in, going on a length just outside off. Omarzai pushed at it away from his body - he was again playing from leg stump - and got an inside edge on to his pad. But the ball trickled off it on to the off stump, thus getting him bowled. 148/5 | ||||||||||

6.1 to Rahmanullah Gurbaz, strike straight away and that's a good catch! This is length outside off, holds its line outside off, Gurbaz hangs his bat out and Mendis dives hard to his right to take it one-handed (one-gloved, really), and it just sticks in the webbing. Mendis is taking some good one behind the stumps, and Asitha takes a prize-wicket first ball. 31/1 26.2 to Ibrahim Zadran, tickled down the leg side! Asitha gets his second wicket. He bowled a bouncer on middle and off, and got the ball to angle into the right-hander. There was considerable bounce off the pitch, and the ball also ended quite wide down the leg side. But Ibrahim still went to pull that away from his body, losing his bottom hand in the process and gloving it behind to Mendis' left. 128/2 | ||||||||||

29.1 to Rahmat Shah, ahh, animated appeal for lbw by Hasaranga, and it is given out after some thinking by the umpire. But Rahmat reviews. It was the googly, pitching on a length just about outside off and turning in to hit Rahmat's front pad on off. Rahmat was down on his back knee to try and swipe, but missed. There is no bottom edge involved, and ball-tracking shows the ball would have hit the middle of middle stump. 143/3 29.5 to Hashmatullah Shahidi, bowled him! Shahidi skipped down the pitch, but was entirely beaten by the ball turning in. Hasaranga went on a fullish length just outside off, as Shahidi looked to swing across the line even as the ball was coming into him. But he missed, and the ball hit the leg stump - so you can imagine how much it turned. Hasaranga has two wickets in the over. 146/4 31.2 to Mohammad Nabi, another confident appeal for lbw... and again the umpire takes his time to give it out. Nabi, though, reviews. Another googly from Hasaranga, pitching on middle and off, and striking Nabi's front pad on middle. He was defending there, but doing so from off, with a big gap between bat and pad. There's no inside edge, and replays show the ball would have hit the lower half of middle stump. Afghanistan sliding now. 152/6 33.5 to Gulbadin Naib, Hasaranga appeals for lbw, and given! Naib is almost surprised at this decision, though. Full ball on middle, dipping on to the batter while turning in a bit. Yup, there was an inside edge, as replays confirm, with Naib looking to defend the ball. But the decision went in Hasaranga's favour, and the day is done. 153/10 | ||||||||||
