That's it from us. Do join us at 9 am local time for the 2nd ODI on December 3. Till then, this is Abhishek Purohit signing off, along with Nitin Sundar and Venkat Raghav. Cheers!

Mpofu is the Man of the Match for his 3 for 25: "At the moment, we are happy with the win and not thinking too far ahead. We need to concentrate on our game. We thought if we could pass 200, then we could make it tough for them."

Shakib: "I think the target was pretty reasonable, we should have chased that, the wicket played alright, but our batsmen didn't apply themselves. Their spinners bowled very well. I should have taken the team home, also our boys need to understand their game and pick themselves up."

Elton: "It is always great to get a win on the tour first up. When we got to that score, we still believed that we could defend it given our spinners. The guys played really well."

Needless to say, it was Shakib's dismissal that turned things around. He was looking to win the match single-handed, but Zimbabwe came right back to win a close game by nine runs. Four run outs didn't help Bangladesh, and Mpofu rose to the occasion when it mattered. Ray Price was priceless, giving away only 29 runs in 10 overs, and picking up the important wickets of Kayes and Rahim. But ultimately, Shakib's wicket, and some mindless running did Bangladesh in
