Hamilton Masakadza warmed up well for the two-match Test series against West Indies with an unbeaten century on the opening day of the tour game against Sagicor High Performance Centre, helping Zimbabwe reach 222 for 5. Zimbabwe chose to bat after winning the toss and lost Vusi Sibanda early. Masakadza dominated a stand of 61 with Tino Mawoyo, then added 52 with Brendan Taylor. Sean Williams and Timycen Maruma fell in quick succession to make it 156 for 5, but the in-form batsman for Zimbabwe this tour, Malcolm Waller, made an unbeaten 45 to give Masakadza company.
