Test fast bowlers Shaminda Eranga and Suranga Lakmal have been named in the Sri Lanka A squad for the first two one-dayers against New Zealand A, in Pallekele. Offspinning allrounder Ramith Rambukwella and legspinner Seekkuge Prasanna are the other entrants to the squad that is currently in Dambulla for the second four-day match.

Fast bowlers Nuwan Pradeep, Vimukthi Perera and Madura Lakmal, and allrounder Dilruwan Perera, made way for the new additions, from the four-day side. Among the batsmen, Sri Lanka A's top-scorer from the first-class series, Kaushal Silva has been omitted. Dinesh Chandimal set to remain captain.

Eranga and Lakmal's inclusions are aimed at providing match practice for the pair, who have no international cricket scheduled between August and November, thanks to the postponement of the home Tests against South Africa, and the tour of Zimbabwe.

Sri Lanka A play three one-dayers against New Zealand A, with the third match to be played in Dambulla. The first unofficial Test between the teams was drawn.

Sri Lanka A squad: Dinesh Chandimal (capt), Dimuth Karunaratne, Kusal Perera, Angelo Perera, Ashan Priyanjan, Kithuruwan Vithanage, Sachithra Serasinghe, Chaturanga de Silva, Dilruwan Perera, Seekkuge Prasanna, Shaminda Eranga, Suranga Lakmal, Ishan Jayaratne, Ramith Rambukwella.

No chance for the best two players of singapore tour in Udara Jayasundara and Shehan Jayasuriya.....No chance for Roshen Silva who is the highest scorer in Dhaka premier legue(Ava127)....No chance for future Murali Tharindu Kaushal.....Ramith Rambukwella again for for nothing......If this selection commitee continues .....The funaral of sri lanka cricket is in near future.....

Where is Yashoda Lanka he is doing very well in domestic cricket but he has no place for Sri Lanka A but Ramith Rambukwella he doesn't have place in NCC Club but he is playing for Sri Lanka A This is ridiculous

Waruna,SL cricket is picking Ramith not because of his cricketing record, but because of his birth certificate. He should have been banned from representing SL for his stupid behavior for which he has a long record.

Where's Kaushal Silva? He's the highest run scorer in the current test series in addition to being the best batsman in the domestic tournament. This is ridiculous to see how political connections gets preference over genuine talent. No wonder Sri Lanka cricket is not doing well as it should have done by now.

Why is SL cricket picking Ramith Rambukwella? Please look at his record. He has not even scored 50 runs (in a single match) in 2013

ok here we go again, minister's son is back again for doing nothing. really pathetic from the selectors. there is a guy called Roshen Silva who is in Bangladesh, playing club cricket and scoring tons of runs. and here we have a guy who get the chance for another free ride.
