West Indies A drew the third unofficial Test with Sri Lanka A but not before collapsing from 217 for 3 to 234 all out in their second innings. Offspinner Tharindu Kaushal and left-arm spinner Chaturanga de Silva shared all those seven wickets between them. Sri Lanka took the series 1-0 after winning the first unofficial Test by ten wickets.
West Indies A began the final day on 183 for 3 before Kaushal ended the fourth-wicket stand on 120 by having Jonathan Carter stumped for 78. Andre Fletcher followed soon for 66, bowled by de Silva. Three of the last five batsmen made ducks while the other two fell for single-digit scores as West Indies A lost their last seven wickets in 58 balls. Kaushal took 5 for 78 in addition to his 5 for 125 in the first innings while de Silva picked up 4 for 57.
Needing 218 to win, Sri Lanka A were reduced to 48 for 3 before ending on 166 for 5 in the 44.1 overs possible in their innings. Lahiru Thirimanne made an unbeaten 57 while Shannon Gabriel and Devendra Bishoo took two wickets each.
