agree completely with Cricinfouser - make Bravo captain - too bad Dwayne has retire already from test cricket and Darren performances lately may be further hampered by more responsibility. Maybe Samuels WANTS the captaincy and that s why he is sulking all the time!! remember that is what was happening with Sarwan - Sarwan, now that is a proper batsman but sad we had end his career. he is still young enough to reach out to and help a come back, but will we?? probably not because our leaders have proven that they don't believe in making mistakes. So I agree, make Darren Bravo captain and ask him to bat at 4 or 5 - definitely NOT at 3. Bring Carlos into the playing 11 to bat at 2, move Blackwood to 3. my team from the current squad in bating order for the next test 1 KC Brathwaite, 2 CR Brathwaite, 3 J Blackwood, 4 LR Johnson, 5 DM Bravo (CAPTAIN), 6 RL Chase, 7 SO Dowrich, 8 D Bishoo, 9 ML Cummins, 10 AS Joseph, 11 ST Gabriel SD Hope instead of Bishoo for the extra batsman at 6 thanks

Sanjay Manjrekar speaks more sense than the WI board and selectors every time. Holder should not be captain, or not even be in this team because is not bringing anything to the team other than the player the board wants. Samuels needs to go. Clearly he is not applying himself as a senior player and really he should go, but once again Samuels is not player that hits out at the board so they keep him. Until WI replace this petty head of the board they are going nowhere. Clearly he is thin skinned and does not appreciate anything said that he does not approve of.

It is really sad to watch a once great cricketing nation play like this. India don't mind losing a game outside asia. They are happy with the defeat as far as they have a reason. Wi should've put some pressure to end up 1-1 or atleast 1-0.

WI hasn't beaten India in 14 years. Yet, they had a very good chance to beat India given India played only 3 proper batsmen (neither Dhawan nor Rohit are proper test batsmen). Moreover in the third innings, when Cummins was bowling really well and India were 70 odd for 3 with only Rahane at the crease (and just about 200 in the lead) and the other two proper batsmen having got out there was a chance if they continued with pace bowlers that they could have got India all out within another 75 runs. And played aggressively in 4th innings in ODI style and winning was a possibility as the pitch was still good for batting (chasing 275). I, as an die-hard supporter of Indian Test Team, was thinking along those lines; how come Jason Holder was thinking on completely different lines by bringing in part-time offies Brathwaithe and Chase (he is a bit better than a part-timer but not a proper test spinner) to come and bowl to Rohit and Rahane? I mean is there a lack of cricketing sense in Holder?

right mr. Cricinfouser . captain should be from 11 not captain + 10. even SUCCESSFUL SAMMY IS SACKED ON THIS BASI FROM T-20. THEN WHY NOT HOLDER?

  • Ravi on August 15, 2016, 4:07 GMT

Holder is a very promising player....however, he needs to be relieved of the captaincy so that he can focus on his all round game...He is a better batsman that he has shown.....

Holder's comments on the gap between Regional cricket and Tests is nothing new - I thought this is why we have A team tours......haven't seem one of those in a while....

Kraigg should be made captain. Holder is paying the price for poor foresight from the selectors. People argue that he didnt ask to be captain. But fail to acknowledge that he did ACCEPT IT....

  • Shekar on August 15, 2016, 0:34 GMT

Kraigg Braithwaite captains Jason Holder in fc cricket.....Keiron Pollard captains Jason Holder in T20 cricket.

@BRUTALANALYST......and what about Miguel Cummins ? how many tailenders did he get in the second innings ? @Cricinfouser....changing captains will not make the WI win.

  •   Cricinfouser on August 14, 2016, 15:02 GMT

Your captain should be an automatic choice in the team. The only current automatic choice is Darren Bravo. Make him the captain. Then you can choose a team without needing to accommodate anyone.
