3rd Test Match

South Africa v Australia 1902-03

Toss: Australia. Test debut: South Afica - P.S Twentyman-Jones.

In the third test match and final fixture of the tour the Australians, apart from a startling breakdown in batting in their first innings after a brilliant start, showed very fine all-round cricket, and in the end they won easily by ten wickets. Howell once more bowled in great form, and in Saunders he had an able helper. Sinclair played a superb innings and might perhaps have made more runs if he had not become somewhat reckless after completing his hundred. Trumper and Clement Hill wound up splendidly. In the series of matches Llewellyn proved himself by far the best of the South African bowlers.
