Third One-Day International

Bangladesh v Zimbabwe

Utpal Shuvro

At Chittagong, January 26, 2005. Bangladesh won by 40 runs. Toss: Bangladesh.

Bangladesh's comeback started with winning the toss - and taking first use of the pitch after two unsuccessful run-chases. Rajin Saleh pulled and hooked with carefree abandon, making 77 out of 147 for one in the 30th over before falling victim to a stunning catch by Ebrahim at point. Though the middle order did not make the most of that platform, they still set Zimbabwe a target of 245. Left-arm spinner Manjural Islam Rana had Matsikenyeri stumped off his opening delivery, and went on to his best international figures.

Man of the Match: Manjural Islam Rana.
