1996

An exciting home Test series against West Indies, which was drawn 2-2, led to one of England's heroes, Dominic Cork, being chosen as a Cricketer of the Year. Cork took 7 for 43 in his first Test, and a hat-trick in his third one. The Five was completed by Aravinda de Silva, Angus Fraser, Anil Kumble (who took 105 wickets for Northamptonshire) and Dermot Reeve. There was also coverage of Australia's series victories over England at home and West Indies away - their first for 22 years and one which confirmed them as the pre-eminent Test team of the moment.
