- A beneficiary of the Impact Player rule, Porel might not have started the IPL 2024 season, but with Delhi Capitals in need of momentum in their IPL 2024 opener, they sent him in at 138 for 7 and he smashed 32 off just 10 balls.

- Such was the impression he made with the cameo that Porel ended up playing all 14 games for DC in IPL 2024. He finished with 327 runs at a strike rate of 159.51 and was DC's third-highest run-scorer.

- DC kept the faith, and Porel was one of four players retained by the franchise for IPL 2025 for INR 4 crore.
