14.6 to J Fraser-McGurk, has that carried?! Henriques certainly seems to think so! Hard length outside off. JFM tries to muscle it down the ground but the bat face closed upon impact. Cloths it a little and the ball arrows to mid off's right. Henriques watches it all the way and then snaps down low to his right to gobble up the chance. Big moment in the game!. 116/5 18.3 to M Spoors, Nicked and gone! Abbott and his great start to the new year continues. This is on a back of a length just outside off. A smidgen of nip back in and that does it for Spoors. He tries to work to leg but all he manages is a feather through to Philippe. Sixers in the ascendancy again!. 154/7 18.5 to AJ Tye, goes a mile up, and Babar makes no mistake! Length outside off. Tye wants to smash this into next week and gets it all wrong. The ball almost touches the clouds and when it comes back down, Babar is under it in the mid off region. Had the roof been closed, Tye might have gotten away with it. But no chance today!. 157/8

1.6 to TL Seifert, Through him! Back of a length in the channel and this seems to just nip back in a shade. Skids through too and that does for Seifert, who was anyway having an ugly and ungainly hack across the line. Top of off pegged back, and Edwards has the first BBL wicket of the year!. 10/1 11.4 to OJ Peake, Excellent grab by Abbott! Slower ball on a fullish length on the stumps. Peake wants to go downtown but is deceived by the lack of pace. Has to reach out and lobs it a mile up. Abbott runs back from mid on, keeps his eyes on the ball throughout and takes it neatly over his right shoulder!. 94/4
| 4 | 0 | 47 | 2 | 11.75 | 6 | 2 | 4 | 0 | 0 | |
6.4 to Mohammad Rizwan, chopped on! Dug into the track just outside off. Rizwan, like Seifert earlier in the day, has a hack at it but the ball hurries onto him ever so slightly. All he manages in the end is an inside edge that crashes into the stumps. Renegades three down now!. 61/3 17.6 to W Sutherland, off the inside edge and into the stumps! Very similar to the Rizwan and Seifert dismissals. Short of a length outside off. Sutherland tries to drag it into the on side but the ball does not quite come on. A soft dismissal in the end, and the Sixers keep chipping away!. 151/6
| 3 | 0 | 40 | 2 | 13.33 | 4 | 2 | 3 | 0 | 0 | |
4.6 to J Brown, gone this time, and Brown's New Year Party is over! Fullish in the channel and moving away with the angle. Brown perhaps tries to hit this too hard and ends up slicing it. He was aiming to go over extra cover but the miscue means sweeper cover comes into play. Davies runs in and does the rest. A sprightly cameo but someone else will have to take up the mantle for the Renegades now!. 54/2 19.1 to Hassan Khan, Hassan perishes too! Low full toss on off and this is there to be hit. But because the full toss is not quite at knee height, Hassan cannot get under it fully. Plonks it off the toe-end and Abbott, stood well inside the long on fence, accepts the offering with glee!. 157/9

6.2 to DP Hughes, goes way up, and Rizwan sends Hughes on his way! Slower ball on a back of a length just outside off. Hughes has a swipe across the line but is probably too early into the stroke. Plenty of air miles on this high ball and it swirls a great deal too. Thankfully for the Renegades, Rizwan, with his gloves on, is settled under it and he does the rest!. 46/1 13.6 to MC Henriques, a flying grab on the fence, and the Renegades hit back! Zipped in full outside off. Henriques shuffles across and has a shovel at this. Gets good purchase on it too but cannot hit it enough to deep mid wicket's left. Hassan goes airborne, pulls out a full-length dive and snares the chance superbly. Key moment in the game potentially!. 108/3

8.5 to JR Philippe, picks out sweeper cover to perfection! Philippe will be livid with himself. This is slow, short and wide. Philippe absolutely laces it but he could not have found the fielder better. Did not get the elevation he wanted and Philippe now has to walk back after a promising cameo!. 66/2

14.5 to BJ Dwarshuis, Dwarshuis falls first ball! Well, that experiment did not quite work out. He was sent in to target the leg-spinner and that is what he tries to do. Charges this length ball on leg stump. Not enough room to free the arms, though, and he spoons it off the toe-end. Hassan settles under it at deep mid wicket, and the hosts have two wickets in quick succession!. 117/4
