10.1 to S Fanning, Soft dismissal again! Googly ball short of a length around off, tries to swat it down but gets the leading edge and gifts a regulation catch to Manenti at backward point.. 74/3 12.1 to AM Hardie, The Strikers' spinners are absolutely dismantling the Scorchers! Bowls a googly ball on the stumps, slight deviation off the pitch. Hardie backs away and tries to hit it down the ground through long on, the ball sneaks through bat-pad and disturbs the furniture!. 85/4 12.4 to JL Curtis, Celebrappeal from Harvey and the finger goes up! Three-quarter googly ball kept a bit low on the fifth stump line, Curtis clears the front leg and tries to play the square cut away from the body, a faint under-edge off the bat, and Harvey collects it behind the stumps. Great game awareness from the keeper, and Lloyd gets his third scalp!. 87/5 16.1 to NR Hobson, Picks out the midwicket fielder! Back of a length ball on the stumps, clears the front leg and tries to heave it away over the longest part of the field, mishits the stroke and finds Sangha near the ropes.. 119/7

9.1 to MR Marsh, And Shamsi finds the breakthrough! Googly ball kept a bit low on the fifth stump line; Marsh clears the front leg and tries to heave it away, mistimes the stroke and hits it flat towards long on. Marsh shouts in disappointment right after hitting the shot. Overton sprints forward and slides on to pouch the low catch. The shoe comes off to be used as a telephone; a classic Shamsi celebration! Even Tim David is getting in on the fun, imitating the move from the live commentary box.. 72/1 9.4 to C Connolly, Shamsi strikes again! Non-turner slower through the air ball outside off, Connolly makes room outside leg and tries to slash it hard through backward point, fails to keep it down and slices it towards backward point. Luke Wood charges in from the edge of the circle and completes a brilliant forward-diving catch to remove the in-form batter. Cooper Connolly departs without scoring!. 72/2 14.6 to AJ Turner, "Catch it" is the cry, and it is taken at midwicket! Back of a length ball with a hint of turn on the leg stump line, extra bounce off the pitch and Turner goes for the paddle sweep again, this time failed to time the ball, connects with the leading edge and chips a straightforward catch to Wadia at midwicket inside the circle.. 114/6

0.6 to CA Lynn, A dream start for the Scorchers! Tossed up a fuller length ball in the slot on the off stump line, backed away, and tried to whack it over the mid-off area, hitting it with the straight bat but not getting enough elevation to clear the infield, striking it straight to Turner at the edge of the circle.. 3/1

12.2 to HJ Manenti, Manenti's misery ends with the bat! Full and overpitched ball outside off, shuffles across and tries to heave it away, flat-bats and skies it high to the straight of mid-off. Two fielders converge; Turner calls for the catch and gobbles it up with ease. First wicket for the seamers tonight!. 86/5 15.3 to J Wadia, Wadia departs! Hard length ball on the off stump line, makes room outside leg and tries to hammer it over the covers, but does not quite get hold of it and chips it to the cover fielder inside the circle.. 106/7 15.5 to L Wood, Catching practice for Hobson! Back of a length ball angling in on middle-leg, moves away from the wicket and throws his bat at it, connects the outside part of the bat and gifts a regulation catch to the backward point fielder. 111/8

5.3 to MW Short, Skipper gets skipper! Slower through the air ball around off, strides forward with intent and flat-bats it straight into the safe hands of Connolly at long off. Short tried to whack it over the bowler's head but did not time or place it well enough and has to depart now.. 48/2 5.5 to JJS Sangha, Bowled'em! An unlucky dismissal, but the Scorchers will take it! Length ball on the stumps, tries the reverse paddle and connects the glove. The ball brushed the glove, tickles off the pad and went nowhere, dropping straight onto the pitch before trickling back onto the stumps. Jason Sangha could only stand there and watch helplessly as the bails fell.. 48/3

Hard length ball around off, Scott tries to heave it away across the line, mistimes the stroke and miscues to extra cover area, Marsh moves to his left side and holds on to it inside the ring. 103/6 18.1 to L Pope, The Scorchers have now secured three dominant victories in a row, propelling them into second place on the points table! Hard length ball on the stumps, Pope follows the line of the ball and tonks it flat towards long on, does not time it well enough nor get the elevation to clear the fences, mistimes it to the long on fielder and the outfielder gobbles it up comfortably.. 120/10
