Horsforth's one game came in 1885 when Lord Hawke raised a Yorkshire side to play an Oxford & Cambridge XI for charity, but the universities struggled to raise a side and so the eventual game was Yorkshire v Hawke's XI.
The pitch was inside Horsforth Hall Park, which was built in 1699, and cricket was played inside the grounds from the mid 1850s. The house was demolished in 1907 and the land became a public park. The pitch remained and was used by Yorkshire for 2nd XI matches in the 1920s, and it is still used by Horsforth Hall CC. The ground is ringed by benches and the only permanent structure is the pavilion.
