Ankush Bains

An attacking opener who relies on instincts, Ankush Bains earned a first-class debut for Himachal Pradesh at the age of 17 on the back of consistent performances with the age-group teams. Two months later, he was part of the India squad for the 2014 Under-19 World Cup, where he scored two half-centuries in what was a disappointing campaign, with the team bowing out in the quarter-finals.

Since then, Bains has underlined his importance in a young Himachal Pradesh line-up in the first-class circuit. He was picked by Rajasthan Royals at the IPL 2014 player auction and by Chennai Super Kings in 2015, although he did not get an opportunity to play in the two editions. In the IPL 2016 player auction, Rising Pune Supergiants enlisted Bains for his base price of INR 10 lakh.
