No pitch covers, says Marshall

There will be no covers in the Barbados Cricket Association's (BCA) Division 1 cricket season this year.

Speaking to Nationsport yesterday, president of the BCA, Tony Marshall said the association did not think it could properly administer the covers at this stage and chose not to implement the move.

"There will be no covers this season," Marshall said. "We will have to look at rules to make sure that we can properly administer the covers."

He also said the BCA felt there would be difficulty surrounding the management. He said the association would meet in the near future to review the matter, but 1999 was out of the question.
