Six held for betting

Rawalpindi: Police on Friday arrested six persons on the charges of betting on the second final of the tri-nation series between hosts Australia and the West Indies played at Melbourne.

The police took into custody their stake money amounting to Rs 8,000, one television set, phone, mobile phone cards and other items.

The arrested were identified as Mohammad Azam, Irfan Butt, Mohammad Imran, Mohammad Zahid, Kamran and Mohammad Shahzad.
