Rajasthan lost 15 wickets on the second day, crumbling to 180 in their first innings and tottering at 38 for 5 in the second after they were made to follow-on by Haryana in Lahli.

Seamer Harshal Patel was the wrecker-in-chief as he claimed nine wickets for the day - 6 for 69 in the first innings and 3 for 24 in the second. He struck twice in two overs to leave Rajasthan at 15 for 2 in the morning and though Ashok Menaria made a gutsy 76-ball 71, they could not summon enough partnerships to recover. Rajasthan lost three wickets for eight runs to slump to 138 for 7 and if not for Deepak Chahar's 19-ball 22, they might have folded even quicker.

The visitors fared worse in the second innings as Joginder Sharma struck off the fourth ball to remove Pranay Sharma for a duck. Harshal bagged two wickets in the 10th over and Joginder had Vineet Saxena lbw for 7 in the next as none of the Rajasthan top five could get into double-figures.

If Basant Mohanty and Deepak Behera grabbed eight wickets between them on the opening day, today was the turn of Siddarth Kaul and Sandeep Sharma in Mohali. Though Odisha were skittled out for 183, Punjab's batting could not capitalise as they slumped to 37 for 4, a lead of only 21 runs.

Things had looked far brighter for Punjab in the morning as Kaul struck in the first over of the day, having Girija Rout lbw for 26. Then he crippled the middle-order by dismissing Biplab Samantray, Abhilash Mallick and Arabind Singh for single-figures to have Odisha at 130 for 6. Anurag Sarangi, the No. 4, top-scored with a patient 47 off 153 balls and wicketkeeper Halhadar Das chipped in with 36, but they lacked substantial contributions from the others. Kaul finished with 5 for 34 off 24.1 overs, 12 of which were maidens.

Odisha's bowlers made up for their batsmen's struggles as Behera dismissed Jiwanjot Singh in the first over, while Mohanty's spell of 8-4-16-2 cut further into Punjab's lead which stands at 21, with only six batsmen left.

Vidharba bowlers struck at regular intervals, leaving Delhi at 133 for 8 after Ganesh Satish's 163 helped the hosts to 370 in Nagpur.

Having begun the day on 119, Satish took control of the tail, adding 54 runs in 59 balls with Shrikant Wagh for the eighth wicket to deliver some bonus runs. Offspinner Shivam Sharma claimed his maiden first-class five-wicket haul.

Delhi replied by slipping to 16 for 2, with captain Gautam Gambhir stumped off left-arm spinner Rakesh Dhurv for 6. His opening partner Unmukt Chand battled for 71 balls, but was out lbw to Wagh's medium-pace for 21. That trend of batsmen making starts but failing to push on continued down the order and Mithun Manhas' 27 ended up being the top score. Wagh finished with 4 for 33 while Dhruv claimed three wickets.

Virender Sehwag, who did not take the field due to illness, came out to bat at No. 10, and remained unbeaten on 6 at stumps.

Rush Kalaria's second first-class century and his 172-run eighth-wicket partnership with Mehul Patel lifted Gujarat to 429 from their overnight score of 277 for 7 in Valsad.

Kalaria made 106 off 226 balls, with 11 fours and a six, while No. 9 Mehul struck his maiden first-class fifty and was dismissed for 62 off 199 balls. Anupam Sanklecha, who claimed both wickets, was the most successful bowler for Maharashtra with figures of 5 for 93.

In reply, Maharashtra were reduced to 36 for 2, but Harshad Khadiwale steadied the innings with an unbeaten 50. Kedar Jadhav kept him good company as Maharashtra ended the day, trailing Gujarat by 343 runs.
