That's all we have for you tonight. Thanks for your company
"Really happy for the newcomers," says Lasith Malinga. "Especially Milinda, Kapu. We didn't get off to good start, three overs, three wickets down. Bowling was not too good. I have to bowl much better in these games."
"Credit goes to boy," says Shahid Afridi. "A great team effort. Partnerships. Shehzad outstanding knock. Shoaib Malik took responsibility as a senior player. Umar Akmal great. Team management is doing a great job, and the boys are showing it works. They know how important fielding is in today's game. I want to see a strong bench, and good to see everyone is capable of winning a game for Pakistan."
"Everything worked well for me," says Sohail Tanvir, the Man of the Match. "It swung for me in the first spell. Then slower balls, yorkers. I have been bowling well ion the CPL. Got the wickets when we needed it. Thanks to Shahid Afridi the way he supported me. Also thanks to Waqar and Mushy. I think I proved my selection right. We played well in all three departments, you couldn't have asked for more."
10.26pm So a comprehensive win for Pakistan ensures they will come back from a full tour of Sri Lanka without losing any of the three series. It was an even game until Pakistan got stuck into the first-change Lasith Malinga, and then ran away with the game with the bat. Shehzad, Malik and Akmal scored 46s, Malinga conceded 46, and Pakistan reached 175, a score that Afridi looked at with desire at the toss. Inexperienced batting, incisive bowling, and this was a one-sided defence of the total, except for a little while Siriwardana and Kapugedera caused them a minor threat. In the end, though, the fielding and bowling was too good, making this Pakistan's 24th successful defence of a total more than 150, out of 26. Presentation coming up soon
