Duminy and Zaheer keep Kolkata down

Kolkata Knight Riders made a good attempt at causing the biggest surprise of the season so far, but came short despite smart bowling for most of Mumbai's innings, and a first fifty for them - by Brad Hodge who kept together a chase that fell away early

Those overs at the death by Malinga and Zaheer made the difference. Until then Kolkata had the edge. Duminy's late assault was the real turning point.

Phil: "KKR have wrestled a defeat from the jaws of victory." I agree. This was a golden chance to seal an outright win in style. They remain at the bottom with 5 defeats. Hodge played a very commendable knock and he didn't do much wrong. van Wyk offered support but a short break in play changed things and the stand was broken.

Mumbai are at 3rd place. Stay with us for the presentation.

Tendulkar: "JP really set the match for us. All the bowlers chipped in. A good team performance. We wanted out strike bowlers to bowl first. Strategy of leaving Nayar to bowl the last over worked well for us."

Duminy is the Man of the Match: "Not the easiest pitch to bat on. I just wanted to stay till the end."

Thanks for your company for this game. Stay with us for Punjab v Bangalore which will get underway very soon, Cheers.
