Yuvraj Singh is the Man of the match: I have vegetarian food for breakfast. Playing first match against the big Aussies is a big thing for me. Wickets kept falling at intervals, I decided that I will keep the strike to myself

Sourav Ganguly: We decided to play positively. The way the boys fielded was outstanding. The way Yuvraj played was outstanding. It's a confidence boosting thing for Indian cricket.

Steve Waugh: Very disappointed. We should probably give this cheque back today for the way we played. We were outplayed and we were ordinary.

Ponting and Bevan looked like they will get to the target by themselves. Robin Singh pulled off a screamer. India kept getting back in the game by taking wickets at regular intervals. Their fielding was on par with the best fielding teams in the world
