Paris and Behrendorff rout Tasmania

Western Australia's pacemen obliterated Tasmania on the way to a double bonus-point victory in the domestic limited-overs match at the Gabba

Western Australia 3 for 64 beat Tasmania 62 (Paris 4-13, Coulter-Nile 3-19) by 7 wickets
Scorecard
Western Australia's pacemen obliterated Tasmania on the way to a double bonus-point victory in the domestic limited-overs match at the Gabba.
The Tigers' measly tally of 62 was the joint third lowest in the history of Australian one-day competition between the states. It might even have been worse after Joel Paris and Jason Behrendorff combined to reduce Tasmania to 6 for 12.
The left-armers Paris and Behrendorff swung the ball both ways, gaining just enough movement and bounce on a hard Gabba pitch to repeatedly catch the outside edge as Tasmania floundered - four of the top five registered ducks.
Jon Wells mustered the only small resistance, his 22 allowing the Tigers to surpass South Australia's 51 against Tasmania in 2003 and Western Australia's 59 against Victoria as far back as 1969.
Sam Rainbird and Andrew Fekete were able to find their own assistance from the new ball in defence of Western Australia's tiny target, but Sam Whiteman and Michael Klinger steadied to reel in the required runs with 34.5 overs surplus - the competition's widest ever victory margin in terms of balls to spare.
