Had Zalmi had a few more spinners to turn to, and had they held their catches, the result could have been different. But as it is, this win takes Gladiators to the top of the points table. "That was a beautiful wicket to bat on," says Watson. "A bit of pace and bounce in it, and something closer to what I'm used to in Australia. One of those days where things go to plan. I enjoy batting second."

Mohammed Taha U: "The issue with many of these players - Kamran Akmal, Shehzad etc - is that they don't want to inherit the team spirit that Arthur has implemented on the team. None the less Akmal isn*t a better keeper than Saf and both imam and fakhar are better openers than Shehzad. Umar Akmal is the only player that is "needed" in pak team to challenge Asif Ali"
