looks to muscle this over long-on, but ends up slicing this straight to point where Ingram takes a dolly. Strikers open their account with a dominant win at home.
Strikers vs Thunder, 4th Match at Adelaide, Dec 22 2017 - Ball by Ball Commentary
Didn't look like Thunder had a plan to approach this chase. They were stifled at the start, and the pressure showed as they attempted big shots, all in vain, against spin. Rashid Khan, on BBL debut, was particularly impressive.
Travis Head: It was nice to execute what we planned on. We still have a few things to work on. It was a tough wicket, held up a little more than we thought. We got off to starts, we missed a little bit of trick towards the end but we have quality bowlers and Rashid Khan showed what he's capable of tonight. It's exciting, legspin has always played a part for the Strikers and he's just followed the trend. Peter Siddle was outstanding too, he's been really good through the week and showed his skills tonight. This is my first real experience of captaining in T20 and it feels to get on board with the points.
slower and fuller on off stump, defended.
squeezes out this yorker-length delivery into the off side. Got this to tail back in a long, long way
full and straight on middle and leg, squeezed into the leg side for a quick single
full toss outside off, driven to deep cover
steered into the point region
looks to wallop this across the line over midwicket, played too early. This was another slower delivery
beaten by this slower leg-cutter. Looked to ease this behind point
steers this full delivery to point
looks to go over mid-off but ends up getting a thick edge straight into the keeper's gloves.
heaves this over deep midwicket. Picked the length, got underneath the delivery and belted it away
struck on the pad but the impact was outside the line. This is a brave stroke. This was a yorker-length ball which he looked to paddle fine
beaten by the slower delivery that sneaks through the keeper's legs as he bends down to stop that, four byes.
works this full delivery towards mid-on
dropped! This is a top-edge that was swirling in the air for a long time, the fielder was running around from short fine, did all the hard work in getting to the ball but couldn't hold on
defends this slower length ball to the leg side
dabs this gently to slip
looks to whip this over midwicket, gets a leading edge that lands behind cover, down towards the boundary rider
play and a miss. He looks to punch this past point
sharp turn to cramp him for room, the wrong'un.
