10.47pm That's that from Dhaka for the moment. A thrilling win in the end for Comilla Victorians, which brings them back to the joint-top place on the points table, level on 10 points with both Dhaka Dynamites and Chittagong Vikings. BPL continues tomorrow, and hope you will join us on ESPNcricinfo for all the action. This is Debayan Sen signing off for the moment.

ChampIsHere02 : "Perera saved the match with those wickets!" --- You called it!

Imrul: "It's a good game. We could have added another 25 runs to our total. Our bowling has done a brilliant job. Shamsur and Tamim batted well, as did Shahid Afridi. Perera is an unbelievable player. His game plan, attitude everything is amazing."

The man of the match is Thisara Perera!: "Really happy. Firstly I have to thank my teammates for the fielding. This kind of weather, it's really difficult to defend 154. We thought we were 20 runs behind. I think we missed a few catches, but we took good catches too. That's why I have to give credit to the fielding side. It makes it hard in this dew to field and grip the ball. I keep thinking of bowling a hard length and slow bouncers, because of the dew."

Shakib: "I thought the bowlers did a fantastic job of restricting a fine batting side under 160. Anything can happen in cricket. (Middle-order collapse) I thought we didn't start well and we didn't finish well. Very important that top three score runs. Every game, our top order has failed. Today the way we started and finished, we couldn't do that. Eight or nine times, 50 off 36 balls should be gettable."

Wahab Riaz tells Vusi Sibanda: "We knew Russell is one of the great hitters of the ball, and could have taken the game away from us. Thisara bowled really well. The total wasn't as good as we expected (about 175+) but we needed wickets up front, and we did that with the new ball."

Good win in the end for Comilla Victorians. First they negotiated a difficult pitch to post a more-than-healthy 153 on the board. And then they got the bowling combinations perfect right from the start. Had Dhaka reeling at 50 for 4, and then but for a frightening assault by Andre Russell, they always looked in control. The final margin of 7 runs is a bit flattering to how close it was in the end

4
Saifuddin to Mohammad Naim, FOUR runs

slower ball, and he cuts it past point

That should do it for Comilla

19.5
Saifuddin to Mohammad Naim, no run

full, and he slices it away towards Afridi at point

12 runs, two balls. Two sixes. Simple enough, eh?

19.4
2W
Saifuddin to Rubel, 2 runs, OUT

full, and he smashes it through covers. They went for the third, and that leads to a run-out! Bizarre! Maybe they wanted Naim back on strike, but why would Rubel set off for that third?

Rubel Hossain run out (Imrul Kayes/†Anamul Haque/Mohammad Saifuddin) 10 (5b 1x4 0x6) SR: 200

AnamBMDF : "DD needs a Frylink finisher!"

19.3
4
Saifuddin to Rubel, FOUR runs

full and he has struck it down the ground. One-bounce four past the man at long off

Diaz: "Aww @Geek, You jinxed Nayeem as well "

19.2
1
Saifuddin to Mohammad Naim, 1 run

full, outside off, and he swings it towards point

Symon Foyez: "Comilla & Dhaka is kind of a derby match. Two cities are 97 km apart, lots of comillians live in Dhaka city." --- It's also the city my own grandfather was born in (or near enough to)

19.1
Saifuddin to Mohammad Naim, no run

full ball, and he runs it down towards third man

Kayes has handed the last over to Saifuddin. Big call, with Wahab Riaz still to bowl out...

Mohammad Naim9 (11b 1x4)
Rubel Hossain4 (3b)
Thisara Perera 3-0-14-3
Wahab Riaz 3-0-24-1

19 off the last over now. What a spell from Thisara Perera. Perhaps one of the contenders for player of the match

18.6
1
Perera to Mohammad Naim, 1 run

full toss, and he drives it back down the ground. Picks up a single

Geek: "Don't Write Dhaka off Mohammad Naim plays as a batsman in the team" --- He's also changed his bat. We shall see!

Baundele: "Not many people know, Rubel used to open the batting in his early days, when he used to play "khep-cricket" (hired by small regional teams)."

18.5
Perera to Mohammad Naim, no run

full, and driven back towards Perera. He fields it off his own bowling, in fact coming very close to picking up a catch!

Four dots in a row. Can he round it off with a red dot soon?

18.4
Perera to Mohammad Naim, no run

short, and he again looks for a hoick across the line, but misses

18.3
Perera to Mohammad Naim, no run

fuller, and he looks to tap it down towards third man, but misses

18.2
Perera to Mohammad Naim, no run

short, and outside off, and he again has a swing and misses it by about a town! Anamul Haque does well to stop it and get to it quickly!

18.1
Perera to Mohammad Naim, no run

length ball, angles across him, and he has an expansive swing and a miss

Perera runs in, and Naim pulls away due to some movement behind the bowler's arm...

Nayeem: "Rubel Hussain's batting average slightly better than Chris Martin.."

20 off 12. Not impossible. A lot of it would depend on how they negotiate the next over, which will be delivered by Perera, I should think

Mid-pitch conference between the batsmen

17.4

17.2
4
Wahab Riaz to Mohammad Naim, FOUR runs

length, and he has drop-kicked this towards midwicket. It isn't far from Imrul Kayes, but hit well enough to go around him!

17.1
Wahab Riaz to Mohammad Naim, no run

length, and he goes back and pushes it towards covers

Wahab Riaz will probably bowl out at one end now
