With the fall of the last wicket the Lightning complete a 27 run win over the Warriors.

It might have been a low scoring game, with no player on either side able to get beyond 58, yet whilst Thompson and Thompson was at the crease you always felt that the Warriors had a chance.

Yet with both of them falling within three balls of each other, the lower order couldn't rescue them

The Lightning's bowlers used today are all International bowlers for Ireland and they used their experience to keep it tight. With Dockrell finishing with four wickets as the pick of them.

With the four points for todays win, the Lightning extend their lead at the top of the table to 7 points over the Northern Knights.

With the next game in the competiton on the 6th August between the Northern Knights and the Warriors, anything less then a Knights win will hand the title to the Lightning.
