On that note, this is Abhishek Purohit, along with scorer Gopi Rangarajan, signing off, on behalf of ESPNcricinfo. Hope you enjoyed our coverage throughout the five days of the match. Cheers!
Yuvraj receives the Irani Cup and is all smiles. That is the end of the presentation.
Yuvraj: 'I played a bad shot in the first innings and was disappointed. In the second, I played straight and it worked out. It was a great team effort. The spinners, and also the seamers, bowled well. Getting a strong side like Mumbai out in the first innings is a great effort. Everybody got runs from our side. Personally , I take a lot of confidence, last few ODIs didn't go good for me. Crowd has been great throughout the game. Thanks to everyone in Jaipur."
Wasim Jaffer: "I think from the start, right since we lost the toss and they put up more than 600, we were struggling. I think myself and Ajinkya had a good outing, but the rest didn't. Rest of India deserved to win. Bowling didn't go as we wanted. In Ranji Trophy, you have a few games in your hand and can come back. Irani is only one game and we struggled to get back into the game;"
Rest of India win the match by 361 runs. Its been a comprehensive victory for the defending champions, and they retain the Irani Cup for the fifth consecutive time. Handshakes all round. Hang on for the presentation.
The spinners have taken nine Mumbai wickets in the second innings, after Wasim Jaffer was run out. Mumbai looked to be grinding out a draw, but lost with less than two overs remaining in the game. In the end, Yuvraj Singh's declaration at tea on the fourth day proved to be perfectly timed, though it looked at that stage as if Rest of India had batted on for far too long.
