full toss gets dispatched over the long leg boundary and that's the victory for the Knights
Reds vs Knights, 15th Match at Cork, INTER-PRO T20, Aug 21 2024 - Ball by Ball Commentary
Knights won by 8 wickets (with 32 balls remaining)
The Knights close out the match just as the rain starts to fall, now that's perfect timing. Once again Adair got the Knights off to a blistering start, and his strike rate was almost 200 when he was caught in the deep.
The Reds would have been happy to get Stirling earlier, but McCollum came in to show the Knights selectors why he should have a place in this IP20 team. His 58 came off only 35 ball, and he showed his touch to guide the ball to all parts of the ground.
None of the Reds bowlers escaped punishment, as the Knights showed that this ground was too small for them. Racing to the total in less then 16 overs, mean that they pick up a bonus poin, adding five to their total.
It's just been announced that Ross Adair is the player of the match. He did have an excellent catch to go with his blistering batting.
So that's everything from us at the ground today, hopefully you've enjoyed the game and you'll be back tomorrow when these two teams face off in the IP50. Until then, this is Justin saying goodnight from Cork.
