So West Indies end it on a high.. They lost the Test series under the new leadership but find a way back in the T20s under their old leader. It was a slowish surface and New Zealand were always going to struggle against the bowlers who like to vary their pace.. Plus there were Narine and Badree who were hard to hit. Williamson was the leading run-scorer but he was done in by a sharp cutter from Pollard. From then on, only one result appeared possible. Still, NZ would be happy with the results they have achieved on this tour.. A series win in the Tests, a drawn result in the T20s.

kuldeep: "watching the match on TV, i get the feeling NZ are just tired of the long tour, and want to get back home soon"

Cottrell to Boult, OUT

this is a direct hit from point! Darren Bravo may have sealed the win as he takes down the stumps at the non-striker's end.. West Indies draw the series with an emphatic win here in Dominica

Trent Boult run out (Bravo) 5 (6m 5b 0x4 0x6) SR: 100

Boult inspects the field..

end of over 196 runs • 1 wicket

Trent Boult5 (4)
Andre Russell2-0-17-1
Sheldon Cottrell3-0-28-3
Russell to Southee, OUT

walks way over to the off side, laps it up but can only give Cottrell another chance to salute.. He takes a simple catch at short fine leg

Tim Southee c Cottrell b Russell 2 (8m 3b 0x4 0x6) SR: 66.67
Russell to Boult, 1 run

fuller delivery, the batsman drives it to deep point for a single

This is the loudest crowd we have seen in this tour.. really coming behind their boys now

Russell to Boult, 2 runs

short and wide, Boult cuts it over point this time for another couple

Russell to Boult, 2 runs

full and wide outside off, Boult slices it over backward point for a couple

Russell to Boult, no run

slower delivery, Boult moves well down the leg side and misses it completely

Russell to Southee, 1 run

fires in a yorker that Southee digs out to long on

end of over 184 runs • 2 wickets
NZ: 120/8CRR: 6.66 • RRR: 23.00 • Need 46 runs from 12b
Tim Southee1 (1)
Sheldon Cottrell3-0-28-3
Sunil Narine4-0-19-2
Cottrell to Latham, OUT

another wicket for Cottrell, another chance to salute everyone! this was a yorker wide outside off and Latham has steered it straight into Bravo's hand at backward point..Bravo Lieutenant Cottrell!

Tom Latham c Bravo b Cottrell 3 (7m 5b 0x4 0x6) SR: 60
Cottrell to Latham, 2 runs

goes across the line but finds the man at midwicket

Cottrell to Latham, no run

fires in a slower delivery wide outside off, Latham's technique that helped him score those fifties in the Test will not work.. he slogs and misses

Cottrell to Southee, 1 run

slower delivery on the stumps, Southee drives it to long off

Cottrell can feast on these last crumbs..

Cottrell to Latham, 1 run

these singles to third-man are hardly going to make a dent..

West Indies are in complete control here..

Cottrell to Anderson, OUT

superb catch! Sammy, the rubber man, is too good in the outfield.. Anderson drives it towards the long-on boundary, but Sammy covers a lot of ground to his right and dives to complete the catch.. he makes it look simple

Corey Anderson c Sammy b Cottrell 14 (31m 16b 0x4 1x6) SR: 87.5

Cottrell comes in..

end of over 173 runs • 2 wickets
NZ: 116/6CRR: 6.82 • RRR: 16.67 • Need 50 runs from 18b
Tom Latham0 (1)
Corey Anderson14 (15)
Sunil Narine4-0-19-2
Kieron Pollard3-0-19-1

50 from three overs! Few overs ago, I would have closed this page by now and would have asked you to go back home.. not any more..What this century has taught us is to believe

Narine to Latham, no run

quicker and shorter on off, cut straight to short third man

Reuben Frizzell: "why no latham yet??" --- because he is coming in now

Narine to Watling, OUT

this could be a wicket! Anderson said NO the moment Watling set off with this dab to cover, Sammy doesn't waste time and fires an underarm flick.. Watling dives but it's to no avail as Ramdin takes off the bails.. He is well out here.. So Watling was impatient.. only to his detriment though

BJ Watling run out (Sammy/†Ramdin) 1 (4m 2b 0x4 0x6) SR: 50
Narine to Anderson, 1 run

shorter one, comes too quickly, Anderson pulls it to wide long on, says no to the second the moment he sees Russell charging in

Narine to Watling, 1 run

gets a really short delivery but all Watling can do is pull it to deep midwicket, without any timing

Watling has been patient in the Tests.. can he be a bit impatient now?

Narine to Anderson, 1 run

shorter and quicker on off, the batsman nudges it to point for a single

Narine to Ronchi, OUT

fuller and Ronchi books a ticket to the pavilion! He looks for the big hit but doesn't get the timing, slicing it long off where Russell is present

Luke Ronchi c Russell b Narine 12 (17m 12b 0x4 1x6) SR: 100

Matt: "@Neil: You're surprised that Ronchi has been a passenger? Would you get in a car he was driving when you saw that mustache?"
