A convincing win for Zimbabwe, and well deserved too. They outplayed the more fancied South Africans in every department of the game. They batted well, the bowled well and their fielding was of a good standard.
For South Africa it is obvious that a lot of work still has to be done, especially in the bowling deparyment. Parnell once again was terrible while Morkel is not at his best. Will be interesting to hear what Amla has to say.
Zimbabwe will be very happy with the result and virtually puts them into the final. Unofficial or not they taught their neighbours a good cricketing lesson today.
Amla: "Both the batting and bowling has a lot of work to do, we gave away at least 20 too many runs. Batting first here is the better call but we did not play well today."
Taylor: "We got both departments right today and very proud. The toss did play a part, but we took full advantage of it with the 100 opening partnership. We changed our bowlers well today and we are all extremely happy. Tomorrow is another game and we have to stay focused."
MoM: Chris Mpofu wins the Man-of-the-Match award.
Thanks to all for your attendance and we will be back tomorrow for game number four.
Goodnight all
