Group B
Australia beat United States of America by four wickets
Scorecard
Australia made heavy work of beating United States of America, slipping to 53 for 4 in pursuit of 149 before William Sheridan (37) and Aaron Finch (31) put on 69 for the fifth wicket to end any chances of an upset. The first half of the game had gone according to the script. Left-arm spinner Jon Holland took 4 for 39 to give Australia a vice-like grip, and together with three wickets for captain Moises Henriques (3 for 21) and two successes for Adam Ritchard (2 for 23), the USA were dismissed for 148 in 42.5 overs.
Group C
Namibia beat Scotland by seven wickets
Scorecard
Scotland's batting again failed as Namibia bowled them out for 156 and knocked off the runs for the loss of three wickets with 14 overs to spare. The Scots, who had been dismissed for 186 against Sri Lanka and 112 by India, have had a wretched tournament with the bat, and their bowling looked ordinary as well as Dawid Botha's unbeaten 55 guided Namibia home. Only captain Kasaim Farid topped 40 for Scotland , making 46 from 73 balls with five fours. Nicolaas Scholtz was Scotland's main tormentor as he captured 4 for 25 with his left-arm spin while opening bowler Floris Marx took 2 for 19.
Group D
