Two of Nottinghamshire's most prolific run-scorers of all-time are set to join a prestigious list of vice-presidents at Trent Bridge.
Derek Randall and Tim Robinson, who helped Notts to County Championship wins in 1981 and 1987, have been nominated by the General Committee to receive the title at the Annual General Meeting on February 24.
If the nominations are approved by members as expected, the duo will join some famous former players on the list of vice-presidents, like Reg Simpson, Gary Sobers, Richard Hadlee and Clive Rice.
Notts Chairman Albert Bocking said: "It gives me immense pleasure to formally propose Derek and Tim to become Vice Presidents in recognition of the tremendous service they've given to both Notts and England on the field of play.
"They are both well up in the all-time aggregate run-scorers for the county, with Tim captaining the side to wins in the Benson & Hedges Cup and the Sunday League, and Derek remaining the most-capped England Test player in the Notts' history."
Robinson finished his 22-year career in 1999 with the second highest total of runs ever scored for Notts and Randall, who also played for 22 years at Trent Bridge, is not too far behind him in seventh spot.
Said Randall: "It¹s a terrific honour to be asked to become a vice-president of a Club that means so much to me and played such a major part in my life.
"I have stayed involved at Trent Bridge ever since I retired and I will never forget the many great years I enjoyed with Notts."
Robinson added: "It came as a very pleasant surprise when the Chairman spoke to me a few weeks ago to tell me about the Club's plans and I'm honoured that all the effort I put in at Notts is being recognised.
"With names like Sobers, Hadlee, SImpson, Rice and now Randall as vice-presidents, there are some fantastic cricketers who hold this title so I'll be happy to have my name added - probably somewhere near the bottom of the list."
