Five of Canada's most promising players are to attend the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in India in August
Five of Canada's most promising players are to attend the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in India in August.
The five youngsters - Nawy Singh Sihota, Akash Singh Brar, Neil Saini, Nitish Roenick Kumar and Sanjam Suri - were selected by CCA for the course which is run by the BCCI. Funding is being provided by several corporate and individual sponsors as well as relatives of the players.
Ben Sennik, the CCA president, said: "We're doing everything in our power to give local young cricketers the opportunities to hone their skills. This makes sense for both the boys themselves and for the future of Canadian cricket in general.
"We're very pleased to have the support of the NCA in India - and it's good to be co-operating with one of the full member ICC countries in this way. I'm sure it will be a win-win for everybody."
