HKCA seeks specialist to assist with PKVR Reservoir ground development

The Hong Kong Cricket Association has received a grant (circa $1.8M) from the Sir David Trench Fund to develop a small Cricket Ground at the surface deck of Diamond Hill No. 2 Fresh Water Service Reservoir.

The Hong Kong Cricket Association has received a grant (circa $1.8M) from the Sir David Trench Fund to develop a small Cricket Ground at the surface deck of Diamond Hill No. 2 Fresh Water Service Reservoir.
We are looking for an Authorized Person/Technical Consultant who registered under the Building Department's Authorized Persons' Register, to conduct the roles of the Authorized Person and Project Consultant/Manager to assist us develop the Po Kong Village Road Reservoir Cricket Ground from the start to the completion.
We basically, need to develop a better use of cricket ground, from the necessary drainage/irrigation/ground improvement work to turfing and the roles are as below:
  • Act as Project Manager, Consultant, Authorized Person and in charge of the necessary engineering/facilities improvement work throughout the project, such as covering the design and preparation of drawings, advice on how to improve the facilities for playing cricket (such as irrigation, drainage, hardware, environment, etc.).
  • Prepare the specifications and tender documents on selection of the contractor(s) for completion of the works according to the Sir David Trench Fund for Recreation.
  • Carry out the tender procedures in accordance with the Procedural Guidelines.
  • Sit at the Tender Board to advise the Association on selecting the best contractor(s).
  • Secure the required permits/approvals from relevant government authorities on the development of cricket pitch.
  • Provision of the necessary site supervision upon the construction work.
  • Responsible for the administration of the work contract, and liaising with the Client, Contractor(s), Relevant Government Departments, etc.
  • Prepare the progress reports and full report after completion.
